- Built the Global Notification Service for Feature Flags — SSE service with ~7M concurrent connections
- Replaced Ably as the notification vendor; cut costs by 60%+
- Hard problems: thundering herd, fan-out at scale, zero downtime, no SDK changes required
- Next project: agentic AI

- Built search, recommendations, analytics & ingestion infrastructure from scratch
- 300M+ requests/day and 1TB of catalog data/day at peak

Somewhere between work and sleep, I game. A lot.
DOTA2 has ~6,000 hours of my life and I regret nothing. My wife, however, is not thrilled about competing with a video game for her attention.
Competitively I grew up on MOBA & RTS — AoE 2 & 4, Command & Conquer, Warhammer: Dawn Of War — having spent endless days & nights theorising ways to win.
Counter-Strike & COD was a phase — a decade-long phase — but my reflexes have since filed for retirement.
For single-player, some of my favourites are: Max Payne, Mass Effect for the universe, early Assassin's Creed titles, Arkham Asylum because nothing has matched that Batman game since and nothing probably will.
I also play guitar. Or more accurately, I own guitars and I have strong intentions. Guitars sit there looking beautiful and occasionally I pick them up, play three chords, feel great about myself, and put it down. Let's see when I am done with "the process".
